Illumined

A sudden shard of illumination

Like a slender, silver thread of luminescence

Dropped itself from heaven

Flinging its pearlescent drops

Athwart the lanes; strewing themselves

On the pages of soft midnight memories

In graceful ombré hues of scintilla, they rejoiced

The lurking feelings of blue–thus, erased

Replaced by pleasant, azure twilight fantasies 

Pinned together by twinkling stars

The navy night, never solitary

Dancing in its wayward indigo glory

Embroidered the atmosphere

With fragrant spires of hopes

Through the glorious dome of amethyst sky

In quiet happiness of possible futures

Reposed the moon, in a sapphire world of ideal dreams
