Update!

Hello, everyone!

It is already September! Wow. Seems like time is rolling by real fast. Winter is almost over and Spring has tip-toed inside Sydney! I have been procrastinating this post for so long but I guess, it is safe to break the news to my blogging family now because this is where it started. Back in 2015, I decided to pursue Literature and Writing as a career after a lot of contemplation. It has been more than three years since I found the courage to make that decision. This year, I graduated with a distinction and I am already one month into my Masters programme. I feel absolutely thrilled to share this piece of news with all of you who have been an integral part of my journey–I was accepted to The University of Sydney, Australia earlier this year to pursue my Masters of English studies.

Yes! You read that right! I have not been able to update my blog as regularly as I used to, at one point of time. This is a new place, a new city, a new country–a new continent altogether. I am taking my time to adapt myself to this place. So far, I have managed to survive one whole month in this new land and I feel like I have managed to accomplish something.

A few years back in my life, I could not even have possibly imagined to make it this far. This is certainly a dream come true. I got my Hogwarts letter just a few years late! I would like to take this opportunity to thank my friend, my inspiration, Richard Ankers, who has always encouraged me to chase my dreams and not just that–he has helped me in every possible way in this regard. Just as he says, life is too short to not to be happy and I chose to be happy. I owe him a huge debt of gratitude for whatever little I have managed to do in my life so far.

This reminds me of some famous lines of Robert Frost from his well-received poem, “The Road Not Taken”:

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Three years ago, somewhere around this time, I made a decision and I can say that that has made all the difference. I certainly hope to read more and write even more in the days to come. Thank you for being the most supportive blogging family that I could ever ask for.

  1. First of all, my heartfelt congratulations that you made it here! And once you made it that far you know that you can make it everywhere. It is so very nice of you to mention Richard’s support. You have a heart of gold and this will shine the light on your path.
