Grown-ups (Micro-fiction)

They met in 1971; two little girls. They shared exquisite adventures together: from adopting puppies to hiding them from their parents. They left trails of tales wherever they went: from being bridesmaids to each other’s at 25 to being moms at 30 to two beautiful girls. At 63, their children shook their heads as they laughed, giggled and embarrassed themselves, grown-ups; they weren’t!
