They tiptoed into my life,
And turned it into a sad song;
Every night as I tried to sleep,
The stars mocked my tears.
Sticky and silent–they flowed,
Never did I bother wiping them away;
With vacant stares and muffled screams,
I looked at the familiar ceiling.
Anxiety knocked and depression crept in,
Only to bully my smiles.
The melancholy played on loop;
With crests and troughs of mania.
They had a pleasant stay,
While I managed my sanity all along.

Good writing, I enjoyed that. ‘Anxiety knocked and depression crept in,
Only to bully my smiles’ is knockout! Great idea and image
