Branded by society’s womanhood
You have been brought up with the notion:
That your lips are to smile;
Your bosoms are to nurture;
Your stomach is a chalice to home the future.
You are no longer yours;
You are incomplete and feeble without men.
You’re taught that thighs are to part
Where an empty abode resides for the welcoming of guests–
Who binge and leave
Afraid of your warmth.
