Transition (Micro-fiction)

She bled; she fed. She parched; she thirsted; but she revived herself. She survived on the musty scent of the leaflets stretched taut over the canvas of her life. Her muffled anguished cries turned to lofty wings. Her searing pain fuelled the quill of passion, and defiance. A happy victim of books turned to a consuming scripturient.
