Distant (Micro-fiction)


Cradling the ephemeral moonflower in her hands, she hummed lullabies to the distant eternal stars–marooned to a velvet silence of extinguishing spirits. Coaxing strength into the glistening orbs; resurrecting their silvering flame of passion by tugging at the dangling emerald streamers with a beguiling butterfly music–set free from her flute, she tore down the encroachment of darkness, to the end, and even beyond.
