Starlit Girl

She sojourns on the starlit dunes

Indulged in her own crescent thoughts

Of riding the fluorescent moon

In the teal green skies

Silver stallions of thoughts

Run through her mind

Waltzing to the celestial serenade

Of her moonlit sorrows

Which glisten in her eyes

Puddles of which

Reflect the softest moonlight

(Yes, Richard. Your post inspired this one.)

  1. I was awe struck whilst reading these lines, I couldn’t help but, to scroll down to read more. Brilliantly written. I am glad to have stumbled upon this poem. I would greatly appreciate it if you could have a look at my page, for it is always a pleasure to hear the views of somebody of your calibre and command of language.
