Chistmassy Air

Sleepy sidewalks,

Covered with the frost blanket,

Glinting in the merry sunshine.

Busy sidewalks,

Awake, and bustling with activity,

Flaunting trees with holiday decorations.

Tinkling silver bells,

Akin to the mellow laughter of the children.

Holiday lights,

Like the twinkling eyes of the people smiling.

Smile after smile;

Seasonal greetings at each corner of the city.

The season of joy, and sharing,

‘Tis the festive flavour,

An air of Christmassy feeling.

  1. This was smooth read! Did you only write it?

    I, otherwise, read your poetry after a session of yoga meditation-a memory booster for my vocabulary, and splashes of water to freshen up. This I could read casually:-)
