Emerald Lanterns

Dusk creeps in

Noiselessly as the tiptoeing clouds overhead

The night is young and new

Suffused with the aroma

Of the night blooms

Wreathed in the crystal dew

The evanescent purple light

Already slipping away

Like the wandering fireflies

Tiny flying lanterns

In their homely glide

Guided by the lights

Under their wings

And lofty pride

Dancing lights

Like emeralds glittering at night

Testament of the passing time

Drifting into evanescent mists

As melody bursts round the glade

Nature’s heavenly velvet chimes

    1. Hello, Tin! Thank you so much! This really means a lot to me. Unfortunately, I no longer participate in awards due to time restraints. But, I appreciate your kind gesture from the bottom of my heart. Much love. 🙂

  1. Very visual imagery. I felt transported into the moment and even experienced a strange sense of nostalgia – like a time gone by. Strange. But very lovely. Beautiful writing. Warm greetings, Sam 🙂
