Among The Stars

My gypsy heart covets
To wander
Among the scores
Of scintillating stars
Which shine down
Their warmth
From the heaven above
A multitude of jewels
Bedazzling
In the silken sky
Twinkling away
Pledging their troth
To be by my side
Whispering-
“You won’t be alone
Fighting the vicissitudes of life”

(I read Akansha’s post titled – “I Drive” and came across a phrase, “the vicissitudes of life” which I wanted to incorporate in one of my poems. So, this is something I wrote last night. Also, please check out her blog if you haven’t already! You won’t be disappointed.)
