An Ode To Hogwarts

An invincible name in the world of witchcraft and wizardry
A safe haven where witches and wizards, together study
A magnificent castle protected by numerous charms and spells
Making it impenetrable by Muggles and impossible to locate
With extensive grounds and sloping lawns
It stands tall in all its grandeur
The Black Lake houses the merpeople and grindylows
While the giant squid inside, acts as a lifeguard to those who fall
Then there’s The Forbidden Forest, full of magical creatures
And secrets to unravel
A lavishly decorated Great Hall, where the students dine
While the ghosts move about during that time
And a tricky Poltergeist moves among them as well
Who loves creating mischief and raising hell
The moving portraits and suits of armour
Never fail to amaze and fill one with awe
There’s Filch-The caretaker and his beloved cat, Mrs. Norris
Moving about the castle to catch wandering students at night
It has Hagrid-The Keeper of Keys
With a gentle heart and always friendly
There are common rooms and dormitories, warm and comfy
And also, dungeons deep which are full of mysteries
The hidden passages and moving staircases
Give the students adventure and fright
And on The Quidditch Pitch, the houses
Try their luck and prove their might
Hogwarts-an amalgam of courage, bravery
And friends who are loyal
Added by wit, learning, ambition
And a will to toil
