Love and Hate Challenge

So, my dear Aplis has invited me to participate in the Love and Hate challenge.

Here are the rules:

  •   List 10 things that you love.
  •   List 10 things that you hate.
  •   Nominate fellow bloggers to take the challenge

I’ve decided to list out these things in the form of two poems. No surprise there, I guess. Here we go then!

Things I hate

The screeching of the tyres on road
The scratching of the chalks on board
Those cockroaches scurrying around my room
Those dusty shelves being cleaned with the broom
People masking their faces with pretenses and lies
Friends turning into foes before my eyes (Betrayal)
Me, being at the mercy of my mind (Anger)
Nature being destroyed by mankind
White-clad men, tricking the innocent (Politics)
Careless them, hurting others’ sentiments (Taunts)

Things I love

The pitter, patter of the rain
With a hot cup of coffee to drain
The soothing smell of petrichor
A perfect setting to write some poetry, more
A generous bar of chocolate, smells just divine
And the smell of petrol, sets my spirit flyin’
Food is my best friend
And my journey with books shall never end
Music is the food for my soul
While movies (horror) take my mind off mundane things, all

That was fun! 😀
I’ve decided to forgo nominations. Those who’d like to give this challenge a shot, consider themselves nominated. 🙂

      1. Aww.. Thank you. I was told I can write well and can make a story out of thin air because of my crazy child like mind. So I’m just trying to take it in some positive direction. Still I’m like you, finding my way.
